History[]
Pethun is a monobiome planet of swamps located in Federation territory and under Federal jurisdiction, home to the Pethunian sentient species. Pethun was originally a planet ruled by warlords and populated by tribes of its amphibian population. With the arrival of the Northern Star Federation and the Empire of Etheria and the subsequent Federo-Etherian conflict, the warlord authority quickly got subverted by the chaos and war happening in their planet by the outside invaders. Some warlords sided with any one of the two powers, but it just made their demise even quicker, for their tactics and technology were drastically inferior.
Pethun turned into a federal colony and a touristic attraction in the subsequent years.
Geography[]
Pethun is a monobiome planet, possessing only one type of ambient in its entirety. It is plain geographically with few mountain ranges or depressions. It is extremely regionally fragmented, with much of its land mass being small continents instead of large or even supercontinents.
Fauna and Flora[]

The flora is composed of humid-adapted plants that have their roots grounded underwater. It is also populated with many mushroom-like species, many of them bioluminescent and with giantism due to the sun being totally blocked off in more intense swamp areas.
The fauna is composed of several different types of amphibian species, along with its only intelligent species: the Pethunians. There are also several different species of insects, most with giantism too which serve as part of the diet of larger species such as the Pethunians. The Pethunian communities farm these insects for consumption.
